Relax
“First, we calm everything down so you're not stuck in that constant pain cycle.”
- Calm the joint
- Reduce muscle overactivity
- Break the pain-spasm cycle
TMJ Reset finds the source of your jaw pain, headaches and clicking, then treats it in four steps that build on each other.
“First, we calm everything down so you're not stuck in that constant pain cycle.”
“Then we help your body actually heal and get your jaw functioning the way it should.”
“Next, we fix what's causing the problem so it doesn't keep coming back.”
“Finally, we retrain your system so this becomes your new normal.”
Each step builds on the last. Skip one and the results don't hold, so we treat TMJ as one complete system.
These are the six things we hear most. Each one can trace back to the muscles and joints of the jaw.
TMJ disorder is a muscle, joint and nervous system problem. It rarely has a single cause, so a single treatment often falls short.
An EMG scan is a simple, painless test that measures the electrical activity in your jaw muscles at rest. Many patients are surprised to find the source isn't where they feel the pain.
After your scan and exam, the core program runs four weeks of visits, with a home program that keeps going after.
“TMJ disorder doesn't have to control your life. Relief is possible, and it starts with a better approach.”
Dr. Anton Conklin, Clinical Director. Dr. Conklin built the TMJ Reset protocols around one idea: understand your TMJ disorder first, then treat it with modern science and respect for how the body heals.
The first chapter of Dr. Conklin's book explains what your TMJ does, why it's so easy to misread, and the myths that keep people in pain.
Your first EMG scan is complimentary. It's quick, painless and comes with no obligation.
Relax, Restore, Rebalance, Retrain. Each step prepares the joint for the next, which is why the results hold.
Get you out of pain.
Support healing and proper function.
Remove the cause.
Make results last.
The TMJ connects your jaw to your skull. It works with muscles, ligaments, nerves, your posture and even your stress levels. When one part is off, the rest compensates, and that's where pain starts.
Pick the symptom that bothers you most. Each one can be connected to the muscles and joints of the jaw.
Instead of guessing what's behind your symptoms, we measure the activity of your jaw muscles and look for the patterns that may be driving them.
Resting activity in four muscles: the masseter and temporalis on each side. These are the muscles that clench, grind and refer pain into your temples, face and ears.
Small sensors rest on your skin. There are no needles and nothing hurts. It takes a few minutes.
Your readings, explained in plain language, and a clear next step if they show excessive strain.
An EMG shows how hard muscles are working. On its own it doesn't diagnose TMJ disorder or grinding. That's why your next visit includes a full joint exam.
What hurts, when it started, and what you've already tried.
Sensors measure your four main jaw muscles at rest.
We walk you through what's overworking and what it may mean.
You'll always know what's next, what it's for, and how we'll measure the change.
We measure your jaw muscles and talk through your symptoms. No cost and no obligation.
Joint vibration analysis, a bite analysis and a full joint exam show what's happening inside the joint itself.
We lay out your results and your plan. Bring your partner or a family member; decisions are easier together.
Buying each treatment separately costs far more than the complete program, and it skips the order that makes them work. We'll walk you through the investment and your options at your plan visit.
Short videos from Dr. Conklin, answers to common questions, and a free chapter of his book.
Yes. Your first EMG scan is complimentary and comes with no obligation. If your readings show excessive strain, we'll explain the next step.
No. Small sensors rest on the skin over your jaw muscles. There are no needles, and it takes a few minutes.
It's the same medicine used for a different goal: relaxing jaw muscles that are working too hard. Placement and dosing are planned around your muscles and your readings.
Platelet-rich fibrin is made from a small sample of your own blood. It's used to support your body's natural healing and calm inflammation in the joint.
A guard protects teeth and can reduce load, but on its own it doesn't calm overworked muscles, treat inflammation, or retrain habits. In the TMJ Reset System, the splint is step three, after the muscles and joint have settled.
Everyone is different. The core program runs four weeks of visits, and we re-measure at week four so you can see the change for yourself.
It can be, because the jaw joint sits directly in front of the ear and shares muscles and structures with it. Rule out medical ear conditions first; if everything checks out, the jaw is worth evaluating.
Coverage varies. At your plan visit we'll review what your insurance may cover, along with payment plans and HSA or FSA options.
We focus on relief, healing and long-term function, and keep treatment minimally invasive or non-invasive whenever possible.
Every plan starts with your own readings, so treatment is aimed at what's actually overworking.
Rather than forcing the jaw into a position, we calm the system, reduce inflammation, and restore balance between muscles and joints.
Retraining habits and movement is what turns relief into your new normal.
Dr. Conklin developed the TMJ Reset protocols, organized by joint stage, and leads clinical training for every TMJ Reset provider.
“This isn't about quick fixes or aggressive interventions. It's about understanding your TMJ disorder.”

Your plan is built from your own readings, not a template. We measure again at week four, so you and your doctor can see what changed instead of guessing.
The program is designed to be minimally invasive or non-invasive. Laser therapy, splints and physical therapy involve no needles. Injections such as Botox and PRF use fine needles and take minutes.
The core program runs four weeks, with laser sessions twice a week and short follow-ups. Home exercises take a few minutes a day.
We offer monthly payment plans and can use HSA or FSA funds where eligible. We'll also check what your insurance may cover before you decide.
No. You'll leave with your plan in writing. Many people bring a partner or family member so they can decide together.
Some people's symptoms stay the same; for others, clenching and grinding keep wearing teeth and straining the joint over time. Your readings help you weigh that with real information.
You're welcome to bring a partner or family member to your plan visit. They'll hear the same explanation you do and can ask their own questions.
Three quick steps. We'll call to confirm a time that works for you.
